Samantha & Stephen
- May 02, 2016
When Stephen popped the question, Samantha was not expecting it. The night before the couple left for their Mexican vacation, Stephen surprised his soon-to-be fiancé with dinner and a proposal. The date was set and the details arranged, and the bride walked down the aisle in a beautiful strapless mermaid-style dress with beading on the bodice and a lace bottom. Samantha carried an elegant bouquet of phalaenopsis accented with white ribbon while the bridesmaids carried calla lilies mixed with purple lisianthus tied neatly with a purple ribbon.
The evening was a nautical theme of purple, grey, and silver color accents. The guests found their way to their tables through a ‘message in a bottle’ to float with their nautical theme. The reception room was decorated beautifully with centerpieces made of calla lilies and white orchids displayed in trumpet vases with decorations added. The tables were draped in Atlantic One’s Signature Linen. Additional centerpieces made of white hydrangeas, roses, and spiders were created in lanterns with a candle accent.
The cocktail hour Sushi Display from MEI Catering, Stephen’s favorite, stole the show! Samantha and Stephen also opted for our Slider Station and Asian Display in addition to our “featured” collection of stations and 6 butler passed hors d’oeuvres.
During the cocktail-style reception, marinated sliced filet in Cabernet Reduction, sweet potato puree, and crispy leeks were just one of the tasty entrees the evening had to offer. To add a home touch option, BBQ chicken was served with red beans, pineapple rice, and roasted limes. Atlantic One served their Blushing Bride signature cocktail along with a special 12-year-old bottle of Macallan for the groom.
The evening concluded with a few wedding traditions: toasts, first dances, and cake cutting! Samantha even surprised her groom with a customized cigar rolling station to complete the night. At 10:30 p.m. the newlyweds said their final farewells and made their way out to begin their new lives as Mr. & Mrs.
